What are people thinking? There's always a safe way to rescue an animal. Animal services, humane societies are available if there is no room at the hundreds of local rescues. But to put a cat with her kittens in a box taped up and left in a parking lot to die of heat exhaustion in the Florida sun is cruel, harsh and inexcusable abuse. This is a criminal act and now considered a felony.
When the group was discovered they seemed like they were in ok shape, but within two hours the kittens couldn't be woken and were coming in and out of consciousness. They were given emergency treatment including subcutaneous fluids and somehow survived despite the previous action.
Update:
Cayenne and her four kittens survived the ordeal and have no negative side effects. The kittens have all been adopted and are happy in their new homes.

Cayenne is the sweetest of the lot, being a kitten herself. Describing her personality is easy: docile, calm and relaxed, loving, warm and affectionate. Her preference is to get sweet affection from humans.
Her first greeting is a little chirp and then will find a place to cuddle near a human. She is a quite petite and has a big heart. You have to meet this stunning kitty...consider giving her a loving home.
